If you do not provide personal information that we request in connection with My Panasonic, we may not be able to provide My Panasonic to you.
Why do we collect, use, hold and disclose your personal information?
We collect, use, hold and disclose your personal information as necessary for purposes directly related to My Panasonic, including:

(b) to record information regarding products purchased from us and to provide further services to you, such as repair or replacement of products;

(d) supplying product warranties and guarantees and all related services.
How do we treat children's personal information?
We do not want to obtain personal information from children who are using our websites unsupervised.
If you are under 18 years of age, you must obtain the consent of your parent or guardian before providing us with any personal information.
We track traffic patterns throughout the URL's (websites) registered to Panasonic.
We use "cookies" on our websites. A "cookie" is a small amount of information which is transferred to the hard drive of your computer and which can identify your web browser but not you. If you want, you can disable your web browser from accepting cookies. If you do so, you can still access our websites, but not all services may be available.
Will we disclose personal information to anyone else?
We may also provide your information to others, if required or permitted to do so by law and in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Do we disclose personal information overseas?
From time to time, we may require you to provide personal information directly to our related bodies corporate, which are based overseas, for the purposes of providing support to you for specific Panasonic products. We are not responsible for any personal information that is provided by you directly to such entities and they are not bound by the Act. You may review the relevant entities' privacy policies to check how they will deal with your personal information, before providing your personal information to them.

Every time that we send emails for marketing or promotional purposes, our emails will contain instructions on how you may unsubscribe from the relevant email list in respect of direct marketing.

You may unsubscribe from our marketing or promotional materials by unticking the relevant boxes on your My Panasonic profile.
Dealing with us anonymously or using a pseudonym

You may deal with us on an anonymous basis or using a pseudonym when making inquiries through our websites or social media pages. However, we may need certain contact details from you to respond to inquiries.
If we host a blog or forum on our websites, you may use a pseudonym for publication on the website. However, we will require that you provide your name and contact details confidentially to us.
We use industry-standard methods to protect your personal information from unauthorised access. Among other techniques, we usually store such information on a computer behind our "firewall" in a secure location, and we restrict the number of employees internally who can access such data.
Access, Correction and Removal of your Personal Information
You may seek to access or correct your personal information at any time by:
(a) logging on to My Panasonic and updating your profile details; or

If we do not agree to provide you with access to your personal information or to amend or annotate the information we hold about you, you may seek a review of our decision.
If we do not agree to make the requested changes to your personal information, you may make a statement about the requested changes and we will attach it to your record.
You can send written complaints about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles in relation to your personal information by email to email@example.com or by mail to the "Privacy Officer", Panasonic Australia Pty. Limited, 1 Innovation Road, Macquarie Park, NSW 2113.
Complaints will be reviewed by our Privacy Officer and a response will usually be provided within 30 days of receipt of the complaint by us.
If you believe that your complaint has not been satisfactorily addressed by us, after following the procedure set out above, you can make a complaint to the Office of the Information Commissioner (OAIC). The OAIC's contact details are available on its website.
